Manufacturing Planner – Full-Time

El Segundo, CA

 

 

Overview:

Responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and planning step-by-step manufacturing instructions to support product realization and contract requirements.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret blueprints, specifications, manufacturing parameters, and documentation (drawings, sketches, manuals)

  • Develop detailed manufacturing planning and process instruction sheets

  • Coordinate with:

    • Programming Manager (machining sequence, fixturing)

    • Engineering Technician (sketches, plating allowances)

    • Quality Manager (inspection tools/equipment)

    • Assembly Department (tooling requirements)

  • Review and approve vendor data to ensure manufacturing requirements are met

  • Communicate with customers to resolve discrepancies in drawings, models, or purchase orders

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Manager, planners, production, inspectors, and programmers to resolve process issues

  • Review, interpret, and implement engineering changes

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of machine shop equipment: mills, lathes, grinders, saws, CMM, deburring equipment, measuring tools, optical comparator, profilometer

  • Ability to read/write English and communicate effectively (written & verbal)

  • Team-oriented, professional, and non-confrontational

  • Strong understanding of work instructions, blueprints, GD&T, drawings, and specifications

  • Computer literate (Microsoft preferred)

  • Adheres to company policies

 

 

Education & Experience:

  • 10–15 years related experience or equivalent combination of education/training

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
