Description:Develops planning and work instructions defining the sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for components and assemblies. Produces detailed work instructions defining production operations utilizing information from blueprints, specifications, engineering orders, change notices, and other engineering releases. Reads/interprets component and assembly blueprint geometric dimensioning and tolerancing for use in defining manufacturing methods and requirements. Determines the need for tooling and makes recommendations for the design and planning of required tools. Prepares shop work orders for materials and product processing and coordinates with schedulers to ensure that items are being processed according to specifications and time requirements. Coordinates with manufacturing, engineering, quality, program and site PP&C stakeholders to provide shop floor control on make parts. Utilizes CAD tools to generate visual aids for manufacturing work instructions.

Basic Qualifications:

NOTE - THIS IS AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION.

Experience with creating and defining work instructions for manufacturing processes.

Experience with reading/interpreting engineering blueprints, tool designs, and process specifications.

Proficient in the use of basic Microsoft Office tools.

Desired Skills:

Experience with manufacturing processes such as fabrication, machining, plating, painting and assembly of components.

Additional applicable specialized technical training or currently enrolled in an Engineering/Technical degree program or completed Engineering degree.

Understanding of GD&T as applied to Engineering drawings with evidence of training or certification preferred.

Working knowledge of Lean and Flow Manufacturing concepts.

CAD Software proficiency, preferably Solidworks, AutoCAD, Catia and Draftsight.

Aerospace or Medical Industry Background.

Experience using MES/MRP Software.

Direct experience with SOLUMINA, MTO, QADS, PIOS.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
