Manufacturing Planning Planner

Location Butler PACleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for a Planner within the Manufacturing Planning Department at our Butler Works facility. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules while collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve scheduling challenges and support efficient operations.Summary of ResponsibilitiesDevelop daily steel making production schedules for operating units which include facilities in the Butler and Zanesville plantsCoordinate material movement both interplant and intraplant operations and planning to accomplish scheduleMonitor actual vs. planned production interintraplant material movement and shipmentsCommunicate and distribute information to others such as production plans unit schedules material movement plans and material expediting requirementsAssist in determining the number of operating turns required timing requirements for unit changeovers outages and delaysApply material to orders following application rules and quality requirements while meeting delivery commitments established for customer serviceAssist other Manufacturing Planning associates in a cooperative manner on daily job tasksAssure unit schedules align with all current QSOPTWI requirements as well as trials being conducted by research or product development groupsOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management or other Business-related field or equivalent experienceDetailed knowledge of automated and manual planning systemsAdvanced computer and math skillsHigh level ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organizationWillingness to work eveningsweekends on a rotating basisPreferred QualificationsBasic knowledge of plant operations material flow production capabilitiescapacities and product attributesrequirementsThree 3 years related to manufacturing planningRelocation assistance is not provided for this position.Cleveland-Cliffs is a leading North America-based steel producer with focus on value-added sheet products particularly for the automotive industry.
