Manufacturing Process Engineer

Setting/Hours: 100% In-Office | First Shift

Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in Cincinnati, Ohio that’s expanding its Manufacturing team. 
Position Summary
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production operations by improving manufacturing processes, increasing equipment reliability, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. This role partners closely with Operations, Quality, Purchasing, and Production teams to implement engineering solutions that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and delivery performance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong technical expertise, project management skills, and a passion for driving operational excellence in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Support production teams by analyzing manufacturing processes, improving equipment reliability, and driving process stability.

  • Lead and prioritize engineering projects focused on improving safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.

  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve manufacturing and equipment issues.

  • Develop, maintain, and update process documentation, including standard work instructions, routings, and operating procedures.

  • Define and communicate quality standards and manufacturing expectations to support consistent production performance.

  • Plan, justify, manage, and implement capital equipment projects from concept through completion.

  • Evaluate new manufacturing equipment, technologies, and production methods to improve operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Purchasing, and other cross-functional teams to support manufacturing objectives.

  • Assist with vendor qualification, process validation, and equipment implementation activities.

  • Ensure engineering solutions meet safety, quality, cost, and production schedule requirements.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support lean manufacturing initiatives.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

  • Experience working in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, including shearing, forming, welding, and related manufacturing techniques, is preferred.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Basic project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
