Advance the manufacture of precision linear motion products by tightening processes, accelerating throughput, and safeguarding quality at PBC Linear. This is a mid-level (Level 2) role for an engineer who loves turning complex production challenges into scalable, documented solutions.
What you will accomplish
Design, test, and deploy process changes that enhance efficiency and product quality for precision components.
Own a multi-project slate, coordinating timelines, resources, and stakeholders to deliver on schedule.
Troubleshoot line issues to minimize downtime and stabilize performance.
Collaborate closely with design engineering, quality, and safety teams to align on manufacturability and compliance.
Author and maintain clear, detailed work instructions and SOPs to standardize best practices.
Outcomes in your first 6–12 months
Measurable cycle-time reduction and improved first-pass yield on selected product families.
Robust documentation and training artifacts that support repeatable execution.
Deployment of at least one data-driven continuous improvement initiative.
Qualifications
BS in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related discipline).
5+ years in production manufacturing—experience with linear motion or precision parts strongly preferred.
Record of implementing innovative, continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong project management capability across competing priorities.
Proficiency with CAD and manufacturing systems; Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Compensation details
Base pay range: 75,000 USD – 115,000 USD. This good-faith estimate spans multiple experience levels. Final compensation reflects the role’s scope and responsibilities, your background, location, education/training, and key skills.
