This candidate will be responsible for leading, planning, and coordinating our manufacturing process Engineering team. Responsibilities include designing manufacturing methods to advance the corporate capabilities towards lean objectives and efficiency goals. The candidate should have strong leadership qualities coupled with an extensive background in machine design and robotic integration. The candidate will be an effective communicator with excellent business judgement and be able to make sound decisions in a timely manner.

Educational requirements are a 4-year mechanical/industrial/manufacturing engineering degree or a minimum of 7 years related experience. A combination of a 2-year associates degree (mechanical/Industrial/manufacturing engineering) and a minimum of 5 years of related experience. We require the related experience to be in a machine shop utilizing CNC machine tools and must be proficient with Solid Works, Assembly Techniques, Robotics, Laser welding, Etching & Cutting. Managerial experience is required.

In this position, you will:

  1. Design and develop production manufacturing processes, Finishing processes, and Assembly operations. Design and Incorporate fully robotic automation or semi- automatic machine tools to improve repeatability and cost effectiveness of production processes.
  2. Generate and troubleshoot programs for Laser Welding, Etching and Cutting.
  3. Develop and support documents and fixtures needed to manufacture the product.
  4. Develop finishing processes for Anodize, Electro polish, passivation.
  5. Provide management information used in cost estimating.
  6. Recommend and cost justify the addition of new equipment.
  7. Participate in the training of production personnel.
  8. Interact with customers/vendors.
  9. Interact with Estimating and the Quality Department.
  10. Support the Sales staff with technical interface with customers.
  11. Write WI's, SOP's, ECO's and Root Cause Analysis for CAR's.
