Overview Pemko Assa Abloy is looking for a Manufacturing Process Improvement Engineer. The role focuses on applying Lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies to high-volume operations, using tools such as Value Stream Mapping to identify and reduce waste, and improve quality.Responsibilities Drive projects throughout the value stream to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.Analyze data, develop models, and work with cross-functional teams to observe manufacturing processes and identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and other improvement opportunities.Write procedures, investigate and establish protocols, and report change controls to support client programs.Apply engineering principles and practices to a broad range of assignments and develop creative technical solutions to complex problems.Collaborate with manufacturing automation engineers, product engineering, production, and quality assurance staff to develop requirements and recommendations for large and complex processes and systems.Plan, conduct, or coordinate engineering analyses and tests.Provide day-to-day production support as needed.Create, modify, and manage bills of materials.Provide technical leadership and ownership of assigned unit operations.Manage change control for assigned projects.Initiate process improvements in collaboration with the Product Engineering team.Work with production, automation, and project engineering groups on process improvement projects.Evaluate and analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies.Develop and implement new processes and systems to enhance productivity.Test and monitor equipment, update existing system processes, and conduct risk assessments.Develop and submit justification for capital equipment projects to support manufacturing processes.Apply lean and Six Sigma tools such as value stream mapping, 5S, flow, and pull.Qualifications BS in science or engineering (required).3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing or process improvement roles.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Knowledge of CNC-controlled equipment and machine code/programming is an advantage.Experience with PLC troubleshooting and equipment fault-finding is an advantage.Experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD is an advantage.Employment is contingent upon the applicant's ability to legally work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.#J-18808-Ljbffr
