Join a Downers Grove precision manufacturer (via TekPro) as a full-time, direct-hire CNC Programmer. Your mission: transform intricate aerospace part designs into reliable, repeatable, and efficient CNC processes.

Your Impact

Imagine receiving a complex housing with demanding GD&T. You’ll choose the strategy—workholding, sequencing, tool selection—then craft multi-axis toolpaths that hit spec the first time and run faster the next.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Author and optimize CNC programs for milling and turning across 3–5+ axes.
  • Convert blueprints and CAD models into accurate, production-ready toolpaths.
  • Determine tooling, speeds/feeds, and machining strategies to balance quality and efficiency.
  • Partner with machinists, engineers, and production to refine processes and setups.
  • Tackle shop-floor issues quickly; troubleshoot code and cutting conditions.
  • Drive continuous improvement with measurable cycle-time reductions.

What You’ll Need

  • 3+ years of CNC programming experience in a machining environment.
  • Expertise in milling, turning, and multi-axis operations.
  • Proficiency in reading prints, interpreting GD&T, and working from CAD.
  • Experience with CAM platforms: Mastercam, NX CAM, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM (or comparable).
  • Hands-on machining background strongly preferred.
  • Detail orientation and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Base salary: $90,000 – $115,000/year, depending on experience.
