Manufacturing Product Manager

Product Strategy & Portfolio Management:

· Develop and execute product roadmap and growth strategies for label and packaging product lines.

· Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.

· Manage the full product lifecycle from concept through commercialization and end-of-life.

· Identify opportunities for new products, materials, adhesives, coatings, and printing technologies.

Customer & Market Engagement:

· Gather customer requirements through direct interaction, sales feedback, and market research.

· Support key customer presentations and product development discussions.

· Translate customer needs into product specifications and manufacturing requirements.

· Conduct voice-of-customer and market analysis activities.

New Product Development:

· Lead cross-functional product development projects.

· Coordinate with leadership, key customers, production, sales, customer service, purchasing, vendors, and customer to launch new products.

· Develop business cases, pricing strategies, and product positioning.

· Ensure products meet regulatory, quality, and performance requirements.

Manufacturing & Operations Collaboration:

· Work with production teams to improve manufacturability and operational efficiency.

· Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product performance and cost reduction.

· Evaluate raw material alternatives and vendor capabilities.

· Assist with troubleshooting product performance issues.

Pricing & Profitability:

· Establish pricing strategies and margin targets.

· Monitor product profitability and recommend actions to improve financial performance.

· Analyze sales data, market share, and product performance metrics.

· Develop forecasts and demand planning inputs.

Sales Enablement:

· Create product documentation, specifications, and sales tools.

· Train sales teams on product features, benefits, and applications.

· Support customer qualification and technical discussions.

· Assist in responding to RFQs, RFPs, and technical inquiries.
Skills & Competencies:

· Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

· Excellent project management skills.

· Ability to work cross-functionally in a manufacturing environment.

· Strong communication and presentation skills.

· Financial acumen, including pricing and profitability analysis.

· Experience with JDE and product management tools.

· Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements affecting label products.

· Create product documentation, specifications, and sales tools.
