Manufacturing Production Coordinator

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Manufacturing Production Coordinator to support the planning, scheduling, and execution of manufacturing operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring production activities run efficiently, materials are available when needed, and manufacturing goals are achieved safely, on time, and within budget.

The ideal candidate will work closely with production, engineering, inventory, and operations teams to coordinate workflow, monitor production progress, and resolve issues that may impact delivery schedules or quality standards.
Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily production schedules and manufacturing activities to support operational goals.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet delivery commitments and production targets.
  • Track production performance, including labor hours versus units completed.
  • Oversee inventory levels and ensure materials, components, and supplies are available to support production schedules.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors and engineering teams to resolve manufacturing issues and production bottlenecks.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records, reports, and documentation.
  • Monitor workflow throughout the manufacturing process to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Assist with the implementation and support of Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Coordinate with shipping and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of finished products.
  • Support production planning activities and communicate schedule changes to affected departments.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Participate in production meetings and provide updates on schedules, inventory status, and manufacturing performance.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production coordination, or operations support required.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with inventory management systems such as QuickBase or similar ERP/MRP platforms preferred.
  • Knowledge of production scheduling and capacity planning concepts.
  • Understanding of quality control processes and manufacturing standards.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices and OSHA compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines.

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment required.
  • Experience with production scheduling, inventory management, or manufacturing coordination preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or adjusted schedules as needed to support production requirements.
