    Description

    Production Technician

    The Production Technician will follow protocol to assemble, calibrate, and test final products.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Assembles and tests various parts used to build gas detectors and other electronics/accessories related to gas detection; relies minimally on supervision for daily direction and execution.
    • Ensures efficiency, quality, and productivity by evaluating and following production processes and instructions.
    • Coordinates with assembly and production scheduling to organize work order sequence and schedule.
    • Tests, troubleshoots, and calibrates products.
    • Assists engineers with tasks related to development, construction, and evaluation of prototypes, new products, operations, and/or procedures.
    • Drafts and maintains production logs, inventories, documentation, and reports, including those outlining procedures, batch records, inventory, productivity, changeover, and progress.
    • Has mastery & willingness/ability to train.
    • Flexible and cross-trained as required.
    • Develops credibility and a reputation for accountability and autonomy so that others trust they will deliver expected results.
    • Can also perform essential duties of production assembler, plus other duties as assigned.
    Essential Abilities:
    • Proficient in multiple processes, has mastered use of equipment.
    • Relies minimally on supervision for daily production and administrative tasks.
    • Assumes responsibility for definable projects.
    Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
    • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
    • Associate degree OR completion of related apprenticeship program (preferred).
    • Electronics manufacturing experience (preferred).
    • Soldering experience (preferred).
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
