We are looking for a Quality Engineer - 2nd Shift, the hours for this role are from 3:00pm - 11:00pm. This position will be based at our Grand Prairie systems facility. You'll make an impact by: Driving quality control and assurance in our assembly and manufacturing process. Drive cross functional teams to improve Cost of Quality, FPY and Warranty costs. Develop and improve FMEA and control plans for manufacturing processes. Improve customer satisfaction through continuous improvement and improving product quality. Implement tools and controls to improve First pass yield. Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues with cross functional teams. Support production in making quality-related decisions and recommendations. Collaborate with the engineering team to improve product design and manufacturability. Accountable for First Pass Yield, Scrap and warranty costs for manufacturing line. You'll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical, Mechanical, Materials or Industrial Engineering. Minimum of 3 years experience in engineering role in a manufacturing environment. 2+ years of experience in leading cross functional team in a production environment Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship Knowledge of QMS, CAPA and ISO 9001, 14001 and 45000. Training and demonstrated success in FMEA, DoE and applying problem solving methods. Preferred Qualifications: SAP Knowledge Six Sigma and ASQ Certification preferred. Black belt is a plus. Knowledge of Minitab, JMP or other statistical software. Knowledge of UL standards for switchboards and panels.
