    Description

    An iMPact Business Group client is seeking to hire a Manufacturing Quality Engineer (MQE). This role is with a highly successful manufacturing client in the precision manufactured components industry.

    This role is for someone who enjoys blended duties related to Quality, Manufacturing processes, Customer interactions, and partnering with various team members to produce the best quality parts for their customers.  Variety in your work duties means you definitely won't get bored and you'll spend a fair amount of your time out on the Shop Floor driving great results.

    Duties -

    • Collaborate with product teams to develop standardized procedures and documentation that ensure consistent, high-quality, and low-cost manufacturing
    • Provide technical support for capital equipment planning and implementation
    • Design and optimize manufacturing processes and tooling for both current production and new product launches
    • Lead APQP teams and continuous improvement initiatives using well definted Project/Product Launch and Production guidelines
    • Create and maintain accurate process documentation, work instructions, and cost standards
    • Accurately quote new parts and update existing customer quotes
    • Train operators on machine operations, SPC, document interpretation, and process improvement
    • Interpret technical drawings and apply GD&T principles
    • Ensure compliance with Quality Management and Environmental Management systems

    • BS degree in Engineering or equivalent technical training with 3+ years of experience
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset
    • Proficiency in technical documentation, cost estimation, and manufacturing software systems
    • Ability to read and interpret complex technical documents and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
    • Experience with APQP,GD&T, and Lean manufacturing principles
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule averaging around 50 hours per week
    • Comfortable working in both Office and Manufacturing environments, with exposure to noise and oil
    • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform tasks requiring close and distance vision
