Direct Hire not Temp Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Quality Inspector 1 Composite Testing to support the inspection, preparation, and testing of composite materials used in aerospace and space-related manufacturing.
This position involves preparing and bonding composite test coupons, performing dimensional inspections, operating testing equipment, and accurately documenting test results.
Candidates must have a current NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Certification to be considered. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and bond composite test coupons using fixtures and established procedures
Machine and prepare composite test specimens
Perform visual and mechanical inspections
Perform accurate dimensional measurements
Use calipers, micrometers, analytical balances, and other precision measuring equipment
Perform acid digestion fiber volume testing, including precision weighing and measuring
Operate band saws and surface grinders
Operate tension and compression testing equipment
Operate additional testing machines as needed
Assist with static load testing
Monitor thermal cycling
Maintain accurate testing and inspection records
Follow established quality and safety procedures
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Current NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Certification REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent
02 years of quality, inspection, manufacturing, testing, or related experience
Ability to follow detailed step-by-step instructions
Ability to perform accurate measurements
Ability to use or learn testing fixtures and equipment
Strong attention to detail
Ability to maintain accurate records
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus:
Quality inspection
Aerospace or advanced manufacturing
Composite materials
Mechanical testing
Precision measurement
Calipers and micrometers
Band saws or surface grinders
Tension and compression testing
Laboratory or testing environments
