Job Description: The Quality Manager will work closely with the site management team to maintain the Quality System, drive Continuous Improvement, and ensure Customer Satisfaction. This role serves as the subject matter expert for Quality Systems, Quality Control activities, Quality Training, and Change Control management within the facility. Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, train, and coordinate department personnel activities to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Implement Quality Improvement Programs to enhance operational efficiency and product reliability.
Evaluate and determine the acceptance or rejection of physically and chemically tested products.
Maintain, coordinate, and distribute updated manufacturing specifications and audit requirements.
Ensure calibration of all test equipment and instruments at specified intervals.
Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams to address and resolve customer quality concerns.
Conduct internal quality audits and provide quality training to staff.
Maintain records in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Generate management reports detailing quality performance and improvements.
Foster a strong working relationship between Quality and Manufacturing teams to drive operational excellence.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Must-Have:
10+ years of experience in Quality Management.
Previous experience in the Metal Foundry or Metal Castings Manufacturing industry.
Prior management experience (Supervisor candidates with 5+ years of experience may be considered).
Expertise in ISO 9001 & AS9100C compliance and implementation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Demonstrated expertise in maintaining ISO 9001:2008/AS9100C and other quality systems.
Experience with process improvement, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
ASQ certification or comparable experience.
Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
Proficiency in MS Office applications for documentation and reporting.
Nice-to-Have:
Experience in Operational Excellence initiatives.
Background in Aerospace industry quality standards.
Familiarity with DoD / Military Contract requirements.
