A day in this role

You’ll move fluidly from the production floor to conference rooms, from inspection benches to Kaizen huddles. Your mornings might begin by reviewing quality dashboards and prioritizing nonconformity follow-ups. Midday could involve updating a work instruction with a cell lead and coaching a team on 5S. By afternoon, you’re supporting a root cause analysis, calibrating gauges, or aligning with our corporate Lean team on a value stream initiative. Every action ties back to consistent, high-quality HVAC products leaving our facility.

What you’ll own

• Perform acceptance checks on incoming materials, purchased parts, in-process builds, and finished goods against defined quality and test criteria.
• Oversee daily product quality, chase down nonconformities, and facilitate root cause and corrective action activities.
• Compile and interpret KPIs, defects, test outcomes, process signals, and trend data—then communicate insights clearly.
• Help create, roll out, and sustain quality programs, policies, forms, and foundational documentation.
• Maintain and refine assembly work instructions, production procedures, and other quality records.
• Champion Lean/CI (5S, value stream mapping, Kaizen events, waste elimination) to drive measurable improvements.
• Design, implement, and standardize processes that elevate quality, productivity, lead time, and competitiveness.
• Train and coach employees on quality, Lean, and CI principles, tools, and best practices.
• Participate in internal and external audits tied to quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• Partner across functions to surface opportunities and coordinate cross-department process improvements.
• Work with the corporate Lean team and Marmon partners to stay aligned on reporting and communication.
• Select, calibrate, and verify the proper use of inspection gauges and other quality control equipment.
• Engage vendors and contractors on quality requirements, testing protocols, and corrective actions when needed.
• Support customer-facing activities related to quality, compliance, and product expectations.
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement throughout the site.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in quality assurance, Lean, continuous improvement, or operational excellence.
• 3–5 years within a manufacturing/production environment.
• Demonstrated QA expertise with hands-on Lean/CI exposure.
• Experience inspecting materials, in-process work, and completed products.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; adept at recommending CAPA and process upgrades.
• Comfort with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with quality systems and controlled documentation.
• Clear communicator and collaborator across teams and levels.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, and skilled at building structure in a growing operation.
• Excellent organization; able to prioritize, adapt, and meet multiple deadlines.

What sets you apart

• ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred).
• Proficiency with Visio or similar process mapping tools.
• Lean/Six Sigma training (e.g., Green Belt).
• Hands-on with Kaizen, Kanban, value stream mapping, value-added vs. non-value-added analysis, and 5S.
• Track record leading or supporting Kaizen events and CI projects.
• Background in HVAC, custom manufacturing, or related production.
• Experience in new/growing operations where processes are still taking shape.
• Ability to motivate, train, and influence teams to adopt new tools and methods.
