Description

Be the Voice of the Customer on Our Factory Floor

Do you see patterns others miss? At Cibes|Symmetry in Roanoke, Illinois, your curiosity and rigor will help ensure our residential elevators, home lifts, commercial lifts, and low-rise elevators meet exacting standards. With 75+ years of global experience, manufacturing in the USA and Sweden, and distribution through an exclusive partner network, we’re known for craftsmanship, innovation, and stability—growing benefits, no layoffs, and real advancement paths. Pay starts at $26–$30 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Imagine This Scenario

A unit fails final inspection. You quickly interpret the wiring diagram, validate tolerance stack-ups using GD&T principles, and isolate a mis-terminated lead in an electronic subassembly. You document the root cause, roll out a corrective action, train the team on the update, and watch quality metrics tick upward. That’s the kind of impact you’ll make here—every day.

Your Mission

  • Surface and prioritize quality concerns through daily discussions with line leaders.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions that stick.
  • Own quality reporting—track and communicate key measures and Cost of Quality (COQ).
  • Level up knowledge on the floor by facilitating targeted training.
  • Support and occasionally lead problem-solving teams using structured methods.
  • Translate technical intent—read schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, specs, work orders, and reports.
  • Inspect electro-mechanical subassemblies, final assemblies, electronic systems, and support structures with appropriate tools (calipers, levels, wire strippers, signal generators, drills, etc.).
  • Recommend repairs, adjustments, or part replacements; operate special tooling and lifting devices safely.
  • Partner with supervisors and engineers to resolve production issues quickly.
  • Execute visual inspections; troubleshoot efficiency and effectiveness challenges.
  • Cross-train across processes and assist where needed.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years in electro-mechanical assembly within a quality function strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of GD&T
  • Fluency in reading electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and work orders
  • Awareness of fabrication and welding practices
  • Hands-on skill with standard hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, tape measures, pliers, calipers, levels, etc.)
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Preferred: certifications in inspection, auditing, engineering, or related disciplines
  • Clear communicator; agile multitasker; team-first mindset balanced with independence
