Description

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is urgently hiring Quality Technicians in partnership with a prominent client in the Endicott, NY area. Preferably with aerospace or geothermal industry experience. Must be proficient in MS Office applications with strong computer skills.

Summary
1st Shift: Monday - Friday
Pay: $24 - $33 per hour

Quality Technician Responsibilities:

  • Inspect parts, materials, and finished products to confirm they meet required quality standards and specifications.
  • Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to check dimensions and accuracy.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings and inspection instructions to understand product requirements.
  • Utilize SolidWorks Inspection software to create AS9102 First Articles
  • Document inspection results, measurements, and any quality concerns in reports or internal systems.
  • Perform inspections on first-run parts, in-process components, and completed products.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining inspection reports and documentation, including first article inspections.
  • Identify and report nonconforming materials or products and support investigations to resolve quality issues.
  • Work with production and management teams to address quality concerns and improve processes.
  • Verify that suppliers meet company quality and certification requirements.
  • Assist with internal or external quality audits when needed.
  • Ensure inspection tools and measuring equipment are functioning properly and calibrated when required.
  • Support manufacturing initiatives and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Quality Technician Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • Strong computer and data entry skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
  • Solid understanding of ISO9001 and AS9100 requirements
  • Prior experience in quality control, manufacturing, or working in a similar environment
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and inspection standards, using ASME Y14.5
  • Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and quality control practices.
  • The ability to troubleshoot issues with CMM equipment, measurement programs, or part quality is critical.
  • Experience with PC-DMIS software.
