Description
Build a career advancing reliable manufacturing
At Teknor Apex, we partner with customers worldwide to deliver custom compounding solutions. Nearly 100 years after Alfred Fain opened that first store, we remain privately held and family led—with operations across the U.S., Belgium, Singapore, Germany, and China. Join our Fountain Inn, SC team and help us keep production dependable, safe, and efficient.
Your mission
Ensure uptime by preventing problems before they occur, solving them fast when they do, and documenting what you learn so the team gets stronger. You’ll be a cross-disciplinary troubleshooter working on plastics extrusion and related systems.
Champion safety protocols at all times.
Install, maintain, and repair production assets: pumps, motors, gearboxes, plastic extruders, and auxiliary equipment.
Execute scheduled PMs and record results in CMMS.
Support and train less experienced technicians; operate with minimal oversight.
Verify electrical health using meters and diagnostic instruments.
Diagnose AC/DC motors and drives to root cause.
Work with PLCs—understand operation, ladder diagrams, and basic troubleshooting.
Decode and apply electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics; follow manuals and bulletins.
Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts in accordance with safety rules.
Utilize shop machinery and hand tools appropriately.
Organize workload, manage priorities, and deliver on-time results.
Keep plant and shop areas clean and orderly.
Drive a company vehicle occasionally; valid driver’s license required.
Take on other related tasks as needed.
Communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking for procedures, reports, and team coordination.
