The Manufacturing Scheduler/Planner will play a critical role in creating and managing manufacturing schedules that optimize resource utilization while ensuring on-time delivery to customers. This position is ideal for someone with a strong planning/scheduling background in manufacturing.

Description

  • Use existing scheduling methodology to create and modify manufacturing plans, timelines, resource usage, and utilization to ensure on-time delivery across the organization
  • Regularly modify manufacturing plans to reflect changes in customer demand and requirements
  • Escalate concerns about on-time delivery performance and resource utilization to enable timely adjustments to staffing levels or customer deliveries
  • Create material pull requests and track their status to ensure all required inputs for manufacturing plans are resolved on time
  • Work closely with the manufacturing manager to ensure adequacy and appropriateness of the manufacturing plan
  • Generate and issue manufacturing travelers using the ERP system
  • Work with inside sales to maintain accurate lead times and communicate schedule impacts
  • Maintain accuracy of work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods inventory
  • Review open sales orders to determine customer requirements and communicate any schedule impacts proactively
  • Coordinate with purchasing and production staff to adjust schedules in response to supply chain changes or production challenges
  • Maintain data relevant to production scheduling activities, including planning calendars, material data, and location data

Profile

A successful Manufacturing Scheduler/Planner should have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience from a job-shop background or other technical, high-mix manufacturing environment
  • Experience with manufacturing scheduling and familiarity with scheduling methodologies
  • Proficient with ERP systems
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude and ability to identify and address potential bottlenecks
  • Excellent communication, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and make well-formed, rational decisions
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment

Job Offer

  • Competitive salary between $75,000 - $90,000.
