Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support new and existing product development initiatives. This individual will lead mechanical design activities throughout the product lifecycle, including concept generation, prototyping, testing, validation, and production release. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality, and cost-effective solutions.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for new and existing products
  • Lead projects through concept development, prototyping, testing, validation, and production release
  • Create and maintain 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
  • Perform engineering analyses including tolerance studies, FMEA, DFM, and DFA reviews
  • Develop and execute test plans and analyze results to drive product improvements
  • Partner with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective
  • Support prototype builds, product launches, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with suppliers and external partners on component development and qualification
  • Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards

Profile

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience within an R&D or product development environment
  • Strong experience with 3D CAD software (NX preferred, Creo/Windchill experience a plus)
  • Experience managing products through the full development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of mechanical design, materials, manufacturing processes, and testing methodologies
  • Proficient in engineering documentation, drawings, and specifications
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills
