QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate Must Have:

·         Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in related field

·         5+ years’ Pharmaceutical industry experience in Manufacturing & Production

·         2+ years’ Leadership experience in Manufacturing Management 

  • Microsoft Office and Production Planning functional expert required.
    Prior Management experience to include workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations required.
    Strong Analytical Skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques required.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across departments required.
    Familiarity with relevant labor laws and regulations required.
    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs. 

         Ability to work in night shift environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

cGMP Manufacturing Leadership: Work cross-functionally with quality, engineering and technical services leadership to address immediate issues that could result in deviations or loss of product.
Quality Leadership: Maintain knowledge of current concepts, practices, and processes to enable enforcement of standards established with the Quality Management System.
Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for manufacturing employees regarding employment related issues, working closely with HR to address concerns and maintain positive employee relations.
Resource Planning: Develop and maintain resource planning models to anticipate staffing and training requirements, identify potential gaps or surprises in workforce capacity.
Schedule Attainment: Ensure that manufacturing activities are completed at scheduled and communication barriers to schedule attainment to leadership in a timely fashion.
Recruitment and Onboarding: Lead recruitment efforts for manufacturing positions, including advocating for new candidate pipelines, conducting interviews, and monitoring the onboarding process to ensure new hires are integrated smoothly into their respective roles.
Talent Development: Collaborate with HR and training departments to identify training needs and opportunities for skill development among manufacturing employees, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and career advancement.
Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate the performance of manufacturing supervisors, providing feedback and support as needed to ensure high levels of productivity and job satisfaction. Ensures that the supervisors are giving regular and actionable feedback to manufacturing employees in alignment with company values and standards to support employee growth and high levels of job satisfaction.
Safety Champion: Ensure that all production/facility areas are kept up to support applicable state and federal OSHA requirements, proactively identify risks to employee safety and drive improvement.
Staffing Analysis: Conduct regular assessments of staffing needs across various manufacturing departments based on production schedules, demand forecasts, and other relevant factors.
Cost Management: Monitor and participate in budgetary process for applicable areas such as overtime, special incentives, production supplies, and non-capital operating equipment to achieve annual budget targets and production needs.

Job Summary:

This Shift Manager will play a critical role in ensuring Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost metrics are achieved through appropriate staffing levels and resource allocation in all the essential manufacturing areas, especially during periods of increased demand or unexpected workforce changes. 

This individual will collaborate closely with manufacturing supervisors, HR personnel, and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for optimizing production resources, especially workforce levels, and manufacturing production targets while delivering the highest quality products.

This shift manager person will manage all manufacturing group of around 80 people in the weekday night shift. This role will have 3 other peer shift managers who will all report to the same Director of Manufacturing

This person will have 4 supervisors reporting into this role 1 each for the 4 lines, who will handle all manufacturing unit operations like Sterile aseptic - Formulations, Filling, Lyophilization, Packaging.

Note 1: Weekday night shift, will work 12 hours per day, Monday – Wednesday and every other Thursday. from 6 PM – 6 AM (3 – 4 days off per week). This role also gets a differential pay add of 10%.
