Manufacturing Shipping Area Team Leader

This position will oversee the shipping of all product and processing of product returns and all card destruction in accordance with plant policies and procedures

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Directs set up, oversees the team, operates ASI equipment and fills in when necessary to complete the shipping of finished product in accordance with specifications, procedures, and practices.
• Establish and assign Team Members to standard processes and procedures
• Assign, train and direct Area Team Leads
• Ensure achievement of optimum product quality through proper handling of consumables, materials and machines within your responsibility
• Ensure the performance of the required in-process quality checks to ensure output is consistent from start to finish
• Ensure the maintenance, cleanliness, and organization of equipment
• Coordinate the response to “rush” or urgent requests without prior notice, while still maintaining accuracy and deadline requirements.
• Be flexible to work alternate shift schedules in order to meet customer demands during peak periods

Process Improvement:

• Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
• Develop, document, and utilize standardized methods to train new team members.

Ancillary Responsibilities

Qualifications:

• High Scholl Diploma or Equivalent
• Knowledge of plastic card manufacturing.
• Minimum of 3 years’ shipping experience in a manufacturing environment
• High attention for detail and focused individual
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Available to work overtime as needed
• Effectively communicate and interact in a manner that is professional and clear to all levels of fellow ASI team members, customers, and other parties.
• Experience of working within ISO or documented quality system
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Outlook (email), MS excel, and MS word
• Intermediate math skills
