Manufacturing Supervisor - Weekend Shift

Work Schedule: Weekend Shift — Friday-Sunday 6am-6:30pm

SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for leading daily shop floor operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role provides direct leadership to manufacturing team members, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and drives productivity while fostering a positive and accountable team culture.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Functions

• Lead and oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules are met safely, efficiently, and in alignment with quality standards and company objectives.

• Provide technical leadership and operational support by troubleshooting production issues, balancing workflow and productivity, maintaining production flow, and communicating necessary production or process changes to the Engineering and Operations teams.

• Drive quality performance and continuous improvement initiatives by supporting corrective actions, participating in root cause analysis, implementing Lean/Six Sigma principles, and reporting production metrics and operational performance.

• Supervise and develop manufacturing team members through proper onboarding and training, cross-training initiatives, 1:1 meetings, annual performance reviews, corrective discipline, and ongoing coaching to foster accountability and a positive team culture.

• Promote and enforce a safe, organized, and compliant work environment by ensuring adherence to safety procedures, proper PPE usage, and company policies.

Secondary Functions

• Support company annual objectives and departmental KPIs while contributing to broader organizational goals.

• Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance and provide occasional off shift support to ensure operational continuity.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs and operational success.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience supervising team members across varying skill levels.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with exceptional follow-through.

• Metal fabrication experience a plus.

• High integrity, reliability, and time-management skills.

• Excellent judgment, decision-making, and communication skills.

• Strong work ethic and willingness to support team success across departments.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a metal manufacturing environment preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings preferred.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

• Ability to stand for 10–12 hours per shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Strong work ethic and willingness to support team success across departments.
