Title: Manufacturing Technical Specialist I
Location: South San Francisco, CA 94080
Pay Rate: $33.80 per hour (Fixed Rate)
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (100% Onsite. Occasional overtime required).

Overview of the Job

The role supports end-to-end product flow across hazardous materials, R&D materials, clinical drug product distribution, and inventory management operations. This role ensures compliant, accurate, and timely execution of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and documentation activities while adhering to internal SOPs, regulatory standards, and quality expectations. Physical presence is required to perform essential onsite warehouse functions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Process hazardous materials, R&D materials, and product sample shipments, including managing documentation and packaging for international shipments.
  • Receive and dispense finished goods, WIP inventory, and packaging components to and from manufacturing facilities.
  • Pick, pack, and ship clinical finished drug products to domestic and international destinations.
  • Process rejected, returned, or expired drug products for destruction, and coordinate schedules with approved destruction sites.
  • Maintain the inventory control system for drug products and perform physical inventory cycle counts to ensure accurate reconciliation.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, and compliant manner while safely operating material-handling equipment.
  • Access internal systems, databases, and RF scanners to ensure accurate data entry, tracking, and compliance documentation.
  • File and store physical and digital documentation according to corporate retention policies.
  • Develop full proficiency in applicable SOPs to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision, recommending updates to processes and helping train new team members.
  • Participate in the handling, picking, packing, and shipping of physical materials and drug products within controlled storage areas.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory systems, and inventory control concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a cooperative team environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to meet TSA requirements, including a successful background check, and complete the Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP).

Preferred Qualifications

  • IATA certification and experience handling international shipping documentation is preferred.
  • Experience operating warehouse material-handling equipment is preferred.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent with 0–5 years of relevant logistics or warehouse experience.
