Manufacturing Technical Specialist I
Location: South San Francisco, CA (100% Onsite)
Pay Rate: $33.80/hr on W2
Duration: 1 Year

Job Description

The Manufacturing Technical Specialist I supports logistics and warehouse operations for pharmaceutical manufacturing, ensuring compliant handling, storage, distribution, and inventory management of clinical and R&D materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Process hazardous materials, R&D materials, and product sample shipments.
  • Prepare domestic and international shipments, including shipping documentation and compliant packaging.
  • Receive, dispense, and manage finished goods, WIP inventory, and packaging components.
  • Pick, pack, and ship clinical drug products.
  • Process returned, rejected, and expired drug products for destruction and coordinate disposal activities.
  • Perform inventory transactions, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities.
  • Operate warehouse material-handling equipment and RF scanners.
  • Maintain inventory records, shipping documentation, and warehouse compliance records.
  • Follow applicable SOPs and support SOP updates when required.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment and work areas in accordance with safety and quality standards.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0–5 years of relevant warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing experience.

Required Skills

  • Pharmaceutical or life sciences warehouse operations.
  • Inventory control and cycle count reconciliation.
  • Shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and material handling.
  • Clinical drug product distribution.
  • Hazardous materials handling.
  • Warehouse inventory management systems and RF scanners.
  • International shipping documentation.
  • SOP compliance and GMP/GDP documentation practices.
  • Physical inventory management.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Skills

  • IATA Certification.
  • Experience with TSA cargo requirements and Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP).
  • Experience operating warehouse material-handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, or similar).
  • Experience supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing or clinical supply chain operations.
