Manufacturing Technican

Legacy Staffing has partnered with a leading precision manufacturing company in the Massillon area to identify a mechanically inclined Manufacturing Technician to support secondary machining operations and drive equipment performance, process improvement, and production efficiency.

This is a highly hands-on role ideal for someone with strong setup and troubleshooting experience across CNC and precision machining equipment who enjoys improving processes and supporting operators on the production floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform machine setups, changeovers, and adjustments on CNCs, Brother machines, Broaches, Drills, Hones, Mills, Thread Rolls, and Lathes
• Troubleshoot production, tooling, and machine performance issues
• Support operators in achieving production, quality, and scrap reduction goals
• Improve cycle times, throughput, setup efficiency, and first-pass yield
• Assist with preventive maintenance and equipment reliability initiatives
• Document setup improvements and standard work procedures
• Train operators on machine operation, troubleshooting, tooling, and best practices
• Maintain strong 6S standards and safe work practices
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities
• Operate production equipment as needed to support scheduling requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of technician experience in a machining or manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability
• Experience independently performing machine setups and adjustments
• Familiarity with CNC equipment, tooling, offsets, feeds/speeds, and fixturing
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Continuous improvement mindset with strong attention to detail

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, oil, and metal chips
