Manufacturing Technician 1

About the Role

The Manufacturing Technician supports antigen manufacturing operations by performing routine cGMP‑regulated production, cleaning, and material preparation activities. This role ensures laboratory readiness, compliance with quality standards, and safe, efficient manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare buffers, media solutions, and manufacturing components in accordance with cGMP requirements, Manufacturing Control Procedures (MCPs), and approved SOPs.
• Perform manual and automated laboratory ware cleaning to ensure timely availability of clean, dry, and ready‑to‑use materials.
• Conduct routine monitoring and documentation of room temperatures and pressure differentials.
• Maintain production and laboratory areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Execute daily, weekly, and monthly laboratory and suite cleaning and sanitization activities per SOPs.
• Prepare, autoclave, and handle purification tubing, bottles, and other materials following approved procedures.
• Perform monthly autoclave testing and documentation in accordance with SOPs.
• Manage inventory activities including requisitioning, stocking, transporting, and tracking chemicals and laboratory supplies.
• Accurately complete GMP documentation, including cleaning logs, usage logs, and component accountability records.
• Comply with all applicable cGMP regulations, safety requirements, SOPs, MCPs, and company policies.
• Identify and promptly report deviations, issues, or non‑conformances to supervisors.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on trained tasks.
• Basic computer proficiency, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage routine workloads effectively.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Education and Experience

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or a related life sciences field preferred.
• 0–2 years of relevant industry or laboratory experience (biopharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environment preferred).
