Key Accountabilities:
• Consistently follow and actively promote proper safety protocols and PPE to other staff.
• Maintain the safety and cleanliness of production areas and all related equipment, specifically focusing on GMP locations
• Utilize a variety of written procedures and existing operating procedures.
• Effectively operate production equipment during cleaning, and maintenance to support operations.
• Communicate status effectively through shift pass-off tools and various Microsoft computer systems.
• Correct safety and issues identified through standard inspections and audits in a timely manner.
• Participate in a team-based, multi-shift manufacturing environment.
• Provide departmental support through additional tasks as directed by leadership and take ownership of departmental responsibilities.
• Help identify and correct equipment, process, and safety issues in the lab.
• Verify the quality and integrity of the equipment.
• Maintain high-quality in-lab housekeeping

Scope of People Responsibilities:

Employee is responsible for adhering to the GMP requirements defined within 21 CFR parts 210 &211, 820, ICH Q7, Safety standards set under ISO 14001 & 45001. This position primarily involves the safe and efficient cleaning of manufacturing equipment and lab spaces used in active pharmaceutical ingredients (API’s) manufacturing. The role of the Operator,2 is a lab-based cleaning role primarily focused on supporting activities in the manufacturing environment, including but not limited to: equipment and lab cleaning, verification tasks during GMP manufacturing cleaning , maintaining the safety and quality of the manufacturing environment, and other production tasks as directed.

Education & Experience:

School Diploma or GED equivalent and 1+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing or analytical lab

Job Specifics and Responsibilities:

• Ability to read and understand written protocols.
• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Email, etc.) and strong problem-solving skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude; able to operate hand tools, calculators, and weighing/measuring devices.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• High degree of motivation and self-starter attitude.
• Ability to multi-task while paying close attention to detail.
• Able to stand for long periods in full PPE
• Lift and move up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
• Working with highly potent/hazardous materials and a basic understanding of chemical hazards.
• Ability to work in Class 1 / Div 2 areas and near moving mechanical parts.
• Utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection, lab coats, and full body protection.
• Demonstrate proper lab safety practices in accordance with OSHA, EPA, DNR, DOT, and other regulatory agency guidelines.
• Maintain the safety and cleanliness of production areas and related equipment.
