Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician 3 to join our team on the swing shift. The role involves integrating subassemblies and components into complex systems, preparing them for functional testing, and ensuring high safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe work practices including electrical safety and safe lifting techniques.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow work instructions to integrate subassemblies and components into the build of complex systems for functional testing.
• Read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Use precision measurement tools such as torque wrenches, DMMs, and levels.
• Disassemble and pack systems for shipment and delivery to customers.
• Write daily pass downs and store build data as directed.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and assist Manufacturing Engineers with complex issues.
• Identify improvement opportunities for safety, manufacturing processes, or 6S.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in assembly and troubleshooting complex systems.
• Ability to work second shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM.
• Knowledge of hardware, software, and control systems.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• An Associate’s degree in technical engineering or a back ground in Technical Field Service preferred.
• Experience with manufacturing is preferred.
• Experience with MS Word and Excel is preferred.
• Aptitude for identifying and resolving recurring problems.
• Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.

Work Environment

The position requires the ability to lift at least 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing. The role involves using standard hand tools and standard office equipment. The shift hours are from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

This is a Contract position based out of San Jose, CA.

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $31.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
