Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for a Contract to hire with a client in Fairport, NY. The ideal candidate will test and evaluate industrial electronic products by building, modifying, and validating PCBs, wire harnesses, and assemblies against engineering specifications.

Rate Range: $22/hour to $27/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Manufacturing Technician Job Responsibilities include:

  • Perform functional and environmental testing of industrial electronic products, including PCB assemblies and wire harnesses.

  • Build, solder, modify, and rework PCBs and components while ensuring adherence to build and test requirements.

  • Develop, document, and execute formal test plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria.

  • Design, construct, and qualify test fixtures and tools to support product development and validation.

  • Analyze test results, identify defects or improvement areas, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.

  • Maintain accurate test documentation, report findings, and support Agile/Scrum‑based product development efforts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or Technician degree in Mechatronics, Electro‑Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field (or equivalent hands‑on experience).

  • 3+ years of experience as an Engineering Technician performing product testing and validation.

  • Strong hands‑on experience with PCB assembly, soldering, wire harnesses, and component‑level testing (including transistors).

  • Proven ability to design and execute test plans, use lab instrumentation, and work collaboratively in Agile/Scrum environments with strong attention to detail.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $27.00 per hour
