Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our production team. The role involves executing manufacturing plans with precision and ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout the process. This position is integral in maintaining an organized, efficient, and safe work environment, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

• Review resident manufacturing plan for proper instructions and specifications.
• Ensure all necessary parts and materials are present.
• Utilize specified layup mold (LM) or mandrel.
• Complete layup of part per the manufacturing plan.
• Inspect each step in the process for quality and presence of Foreign Object Debris (FOD).
• Visually inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications.
• Bag parts according to specifications.
• Place parts on outgoing production shelves.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities through the implementation of change management processes and best practices.
• Assist with standard operating procedures for all production operations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and replace tools and materials upon job completion.
• Properly dispose of any hazardous materials.
• Ensure all health and safety guidelines are followed, utilizing all mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE).

Essential Skills

• Demonstrated success in production within a fast-paced, technically focused environment.
• Results-oriented with analytical thinking and flexibility in dealing with changing and ambiguous situations.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, leaders, subordinates, and outside contacts.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of previous work experience.
• Interest and ability to participate in lean manufacturing initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen Events, RCCA, and Value Stream Analysis.

Work Environment

The role involves physical demands that include talking, hearing, reaching with hands and arms, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling. The employee must be able to perform repetitive motions and frequently push, pull, and/or lift up to 30 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity is necessary for performing tasks within arm"s reach. The work environment is mild compared to other manufacturers and offers a lot of overtime opportunities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hayden, ID.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
