Manufacturing Technician

Location: Fremont, CA, (Kato), with possibility of working at Hayward, CA, (Clawiter) if support is needed (Onsite) Pay Range: $36 - $46/hr. Duration: 6 Months Top Skills: 4–6 years of experience in a manufacturing or technician role with hands-on exposure to assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical/electrical systems Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring harness drawings, and apply basic electrical theory in diagnostics work Experience using hand and power tools with familiarity in automotive systems, including CAN/LIN network communication (OEM experience preferred)

Job Description

As a manufacturing technician, the technician will be part of a team responsible for the assembly and testing of our vehicles. You will support both the build and performing defined test plans and subassemblies. Being comfortable with mechanical, electrical, and computer systems is a plus. There will be regular use of hand, power, and diagnostic tools along with custom equipment used to improve safety, quality, and reduce time, being flexible in working on different sites when necessary, and willing to work cross-functionally with other teams/departments. Your feedback from the build will go directly to your leads to help create and refine key systems and move towards mass production.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Leads and other technicians on vehicle build in the assembly line
  • Light Diagnosis/troubleshooting on vehicle issues
  • Complete daily tasks to ensure on-time delivery and completion of the project
  • Perform execution of on-vehicle testing involving both hardware and software
  • Provide feedback to necessary team members to assist in future development
  • Willing to be flexible and work with cross-functional teams or departments
  • Work within all Environmental Health and Safety guidelines
  • Identify areas of improvement within quality, efficiency, and safety
Qualifications
  • 4-6 years of experience working as a technician or in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with basic hand and power tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of basic electrical theory
  • Familiar with electrical schematics and harness drawings
  • Familiarity with CAN/LIN network systems
  • Automotive/OEM experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree (Bonus: Certificate in Automotive Technology)
