Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Technician I supports daily production operations by performing mechanical and electrical assembly tasks. This role ensures products are built accurately and efficiently while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Assemble mechanical and electrical components and subassemblies using hand, electric, and pneumatic tools
- Follow detailed, step-by-step work instructions to complete product builds
- Perform repetitive PCB and electronic subassembly assembly
- Execute hand soldering of small components to specified standards
- Interpret and follow engineered drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Maintain clean, organized, and ESD-safe workstations
- Accurately record production data and build completion information
- Support continuous improvement efforts, including yield optimization and rework reduction
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or lead technicians
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proven hand soldering experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
- Prior experience in production-line electronics assembly preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or sit for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
