Role Description

\n

\n

This Manufacturing Technician II is a contract, on-site role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role is responsible for executing routine and complex manufacturing operations in clean room environments, including preparation, operation, and shutdown of production equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and cGMP requirements.

\n

\n

Daily tasks include: monitoring manufacturing processes, performing in-process quality checks, documenting batch records and equipment logs, and supporting line changeovers and setups. The technician assists with equipment troubleshooting, basic preventive maintenance, and coordination with quality and engineering teams to resolve issues. The position also involves following safety protocols, participating in continuous improvement activities, and collaborating with cross-functional colleagues to meet production schedules and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency working in Clean Rooms and controlled environments, with strict adherence to safety, contamination control, and cGMP standards.
• \n
• Strong understanding of Manufacturing Processes, including equipment operation, batch production, documentation, and process controls.
• \n
• Experience in Quality Control, including in-process inspections, sampling, and accurate recording of data to support product release.
• \n
• Demonstrated Troubleshooting skills to diagnose equipment or process issues and collaborate on corrective actions.
• \n
• Effective Communication skills to work with cross-functional teams, follow written instructions, and clearly document activities.
• \n
• Prior experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, aseptic, or select agent manufacturing is highly beneficial.
• \n
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic batch records or manufacturing software systems.
• \n
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights as needed, and work flexible shifts to support production demands.
• \n
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in a relevant field (e.g., biotechnology, engineering, manufacturing technology) is preferred.
• \n
• Minimum Experience Required: 3+ years of experience with pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing processes; or equivalent education, training, and experience.
