Job Summary

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for performing technical duties related to the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and production of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical systems. This role supports manufacturing operations by completing functional testing, process controls, and quality inspections while ensuring products meet established specifications.

 

Job Description

  • Perform technical duties in electronic, mechanical, and systems manufacturing environments.
  • Conduct testing, measurements, calibrations, and process control activities to ensure product quality and performance.
  • Execute work assignments using job packets, routings, work orders, wire lists, quality travelers, and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Assemble, inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic and electromechanical products, processes, and equipment.
  • Perform wire preparation, stripping, crimping, harness repair, and cable termination.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Operate and maintain production tools, equipment, and testing devices.
  • Utilize electrical test equipment, including multimeters, power supplies, and other diagnostic instruments.
  • Evaluate test results against engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Support automated machine operation and basic programming as required.
  • Maintain proficiency in electronics, hydraulics, and mechanical assembly techniques.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Follow established manufacturing procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards.

 

Skills Required

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electro-Mechanical Technician or in a similar manufacturing role.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience using electrical test equipment such as multimeters, power supplies, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures, work instructions, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to analyze and assess test results based on engineering specifications.
  • Good computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and operate multiple testing and calibration systems simultaneously.

Preferred skills

  • IPC-A-610 certification or familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards (preferred but not required).
  • Soldering experience.
  • Experience with electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical assemblies.

 

Education

  • Required: Highschool diploma or GED

 

Additional requirements

  • Shift: 2nd shift - 4:00 PM to 12:00 am.

 

Pay rate

  • $19 - $22 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
