Job Description
The Panther Group is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for an opportunity in the Kettering, OH area. This position supports production operations by operating computer-controlled laser machining equipment to process precision components in a manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a production or manufacturing setting, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical instructions and documentation.
We are currently hiring for all shifts:
- 1st shift, Mon-Fri, 6am start
- 2nd shift, Mon-Fri 2pm start
- 3rd shift, Mon-Fri, 10pm start
- Weekend 3rd Shift - Fri & Sat, 10pm-10am. Sun, 10pm-6am.
Responsibilities
- Operate computer-based laser machining equipment to process components according to work instructions.
- Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and process documentation.
- Verify equipment status and system conditions prior to operation.
- Inspect components to ensure quality and specification requirements are met.
- Enter production or inspection data into company systems as required.
- Support production team operations and collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
- Train or assist other employees on production processes and equipment when requested.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong manual dexterity and ability to handle small components
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
- Experience with automated or manual inspection equipment
- Familiarity with ISO quality systems, preferably within medical device manufacturing
- Experience using optical inspection tools such as microscopes, magnifiers, or measurement equipment
$17.00 $20.40 per hour (W2) Pay varies depending on shift and experience
