Position Overview
The Manufacturing Technician I is responsible for supporting the assembly, testing, and inspection of medical devices in a production environment. This entry-level role focuses on following established procedures to ensure products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has strong documentation practices, and communicates effectively within a team setting.
Key Responsibilities- Perform assembly of medical devices and subassemblies according to approved work instructions and procedures.
- Conduct basic testing and inspection to ensure product quality and functionality.
- Accurately complete production records and maintain clear, thorough documentation.
- Follow all quality standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
- Identify and report any defects, inconsistencies, or process deviations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
- Collaborate with team members, leads, and supervisors to meet production goals.
- Communicate effectively regarding production status, issues, and improvements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production process.
- Assist with material handling, kitting, and inventory as needed.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 12 years of manufacturing or assembly experience (medical device experience preferred).
- Experience with small part assembly and use of hand tools is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong documentation and record-keeping abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and tracking production activities.
