Manufacturing Technician
Location: Manchester, NH
Hourly Rate: $25.00-$28.00/hour (depending on experience)
Type: 6 months Contract Temp to Permanent
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 1st Shift (In-Office)
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Technician to support the assembly, testing, servicing, and delivery of innovative personal mobility technology that improves the lives of individuals with mobility challenges. This position plays a critical role in manufacturing, quality, and technical support by building custom products, performing final system integration and testing, assisting with product modifications, and providing technical support to customers and clinical partners. The ideal candidate enjoys solving mechanical problems, delivering outstanding customer service, and working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build and configure customer and demonstration units to meet engineering and user specifications
  • Perform final assembly, system integration, calibration, and functional testing prior to shipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical issues while identifying recurring problems and recommending improvements
  • Assist with custom assembly and modification requests to support individual customer needs
  • Maintain quality assurance documentation, calibration records, and manufacturing documentation
  • Prepare products, accessories, and materials for shipment
  • Provide technical support to customers, clinicians, and internal teams
  • Support trade shows, product demonstrations, and industry events as needed
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and customer support teams to meet organizational goals
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Technician, Mechanical Technician, Field Service Technician, or similar technical role
  • Associate degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience assembling, servicing, or troubleshooting electromechanical equipment
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and follow technical documentation and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office; Salesforce CRM experience is a plus
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Outstanding customer service skills and experience interacting directly with customers
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
  • Valid driver's license
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing or regulated manufacturing environments
  • Experience supporting healthcare, rehabilitation, or assistive technology products
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Exposure to quality systems, calibration, or product testing
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • Approximately 20% domestic travel after successful onboarding and training
  • Travel may include air travel, train, or personal vehicle depending on the assignment
  • Travel may occur throughout the United States, with occasional coast-to-coast assignments and rare international travel for highly trained employees
  • Most travel supports product installations, service, and customer assistance. Approximately 60% of trips involve a single customer location, while others may include multiple customer visits during the same trip.
