PGS Worldwide is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Mesa, Arizona for a 6-month contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This onsite position supports manufacturing operations for gun systems, including assembly, setup support, calibration assistance, rework, and quality testing. The role requires strong assembly experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work from procedures and prints in a production environment.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2 years of experience working on manufacturing assemblies
  • Ability to perform assembly operations on subassemblies and top-level assemblies
  • Ability to follow detailed operating procedures and work instructions
  • Ability to interpret blueprints
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to collect and record data as needed
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 40 lbs
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain coverage under the Safe Explosives Act upon starting
  • Ability to work a Monday through Thursday schedule starting at 5:00 AM, plus overtime and some weekends if needed

Preferred Skills

  • Mechanical background
  • Experience reading prints
  • Experience with Costpoint, MES, or similar systems

What You’ll Do

  • Perform assembly operations for gun systems in a team or individual environment
  • Build manufacturing subassemblies and top-level assemblies
  • Support setup and calibration activities with engineering teams
  • Perform rework and quality testing as needed
  • Operate within manufacturing processes while following established procedures
  • Use precision measuring equipment to verify correct positioning during bonding operations
  • Help maintain clean work areas
  • Participate in team activities that support safety, quality, cost, and schedule goals
  • Collect and record production data as required

Work Schedule / Shift

  • Monday through Thursday
  • 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Overtime and some weekends as needed

Pay

  • $31.41/hour
