Candidate position is for a subassembly technician in the facility in Goleta, California, involved in the packaging of IR detectors for high reliability space, military and commercial applications
Main Functions: Manufacturing Technician - Painter (Subassemblies)- A self-motivated, self-disciplined individual is the ideal candidate for this position.
- Ability to work with individuals and teams outside the department maybe be required.
- Technicians are responsible for precision hand painting of small subassemblies using fine tools under a microscope.
- This role requires exceptional attention to detail, steady hand control, and the ability to maintain focus while seated for extended periods.
- The technician ensures all work meets strict quality and production standards in a controlled manufacturing environment.
- Technicians will be expected to wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and strictly follow all safety related processes, procedures, and protocols.
Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Technician - Painter (Subassemblies)- Perform detailed hand painting of small subassemblies using brushes, needles, or other fine applicators
- Work under a microscope for extended periods to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Follow detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Inspect painted components to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
- Maintain clean and organized workstations, adhering to safety and contamination control protocols
- Track and document production activities, including quantities completed and defects identified
- Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to address process improvements or defects
- Handle delicate components with care to prevent damage during processing
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining high-quality standards
