Manufacturing TechnologistRequired Equipment: • Safety Shoes (steel, composite) Required Education: • High School degree required Preferred Education: • Associates degree with a scientific degree and no experience. Required Skills and Experience: • 2 years relevant experience in a regulated environment • Experience in a regulated environment • Can effectively work in a team setting and communicate effectively across the department • Strong attention to detail • Ability to be punctual in order to ensure production • Ability to work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature with the skill to recognize any deviations from specification • Ability to operate independently within the constraints of approved process-related documentation • Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic • Basic proficiency with PCs (Personal Computers) and basic use of a Windows environmentManufacturing Technologist Responsibilities and Duties:Responsible for manufacturing and assembling clinical and commercial products. Operates production equipment.Weighs, measures and checks raw materials to ensure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients and quantities.Assists with in-process testing to ensure batches meet specifications.Responsible for validating processes and equipment that are directly related to filtration, cleaning and sterilization. Responsible for the removal and disposal of waste chemicals, solvents and acids.Creates solutions, powders, and liquids for batches to meet specificationsProvides training support for on-boarding and/or new procedureso Provides support to the lead/supervisor when necessaryProvides continuous improvement recommendations and/or solutions to support overall operational efficiencyDemonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Must follow all housekeeping policies and proceduresMust follow all safety policies and proceduresMust be able to work flexible and/or extended hours and report to work on a regular, punctual basis. Ability to get along with people and be able to work in a team environment.
