We are seeking a Test Equipment Technician to support maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of test fixtures and equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with engineering teams to ensure all test systems operate efficiently and meet quality standards.
This is a hands-on position ideal for candidates with strong electrical/electronic skills and experience working with test equipment in a production setting.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of test fixtures and equipment
Ensure all test equipment is fully operational, efficient, and aligned with quality standards
Collaborate with Test Engineers to diagnose and resolve technical issues
Support workflow scheduling and complete required administrative tasks
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status
Assist in improving equipment reliability and uptime
Use electronic test and measurement tools (e.g., DMMs, oscilloscopes) to analyze performance
Apply proper soldering techniques and basic hand tool usage as needed
Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with workplace standards
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED (technical training or degree preferred)
Associate degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology or equivalent experience
Minimum 4 years of relevant hands-on experience with test equipment or electronics
Ability to troubleshoot and maintain electrical and electronic systems
Experience using test equipment such as digital multimeters and oscilloscopes
Basic soldering skills and familiarity with electronic components
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and climbing ladders
Ability to distinguish color-coded wiring
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with high-voltage systems (up to 480V)
Background in manufacturing or test engineering environments
Technical trade school certification or military technical training
