Under general supervision, the Production Test Technician will perform the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of systems and sub-components needed within manufacturing that include both electronic and mechanical assemblies. The technician adheres to test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems, and may complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment. Performs a variety of electronic, mechanical and test functions following written Standard Operating Procedures and verbal instructions as part of the manufacturing team. Good organizational and relevant computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office) are needed for maintaining production records. Job duties will have overlap across all products produced in Oak Ridge as needed including UAS Flight & Test as well as Radiation & explosive detection test processes.
