Minimum Qualifications
Eighth grade. One year of experience in marina operations to include experience in grounds maintenance, dock maintenance, customer service, computerized clerical applications, and/or cash handling is required. Must pass a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC)-approved boater safety course and possess a Boating Safety Education identification card issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). Must possess a Drivers license. Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays on a varying work schedule.
Recruitment Notes
This role involves both manual and clerical tasks related to the operation of the marina and dockage facility. Responsibilities include providing excellent customer service by collecting fees and assisting with marina berth contracts. The Marina Attendant is also responsible for daily maintenance of dockage areas, which includes removing garbage and debris, as well as pressure washing the marina and boat ramp areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC)-approved Boater Safety Course referred to in the Minimum Qualifications provides foundational knowledge of safe boating practices and marina operations relevant to the role. Completion of this course results in issuance of a Boating Safety Education Identification Card.
