We are looking for an experienced marina forklift operator for our Marco Island, Florida marina. Prior Marina experience is REQUIRED.
The Equipment/Forklift Operator is responsible for the movement of all vessels located in the facility for haul & launch, designated work, storage, or sales. This position is also required to inspect, repair, and maintain all assigned equipment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Operate heavy equipment, including but not limited to marine forklifts
- Operate machinery efficiently, effectively and demonstrate safe handling of vessels
- Use equipment to move vessels in and out of the water, to designated workspace, storage or sales areas
- Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment to ensure operational and acceptable industry standards
- Assist with ground maintenance and ensure overall marina cleanliness are maintained as a Class A facility.
- Maneuver member vessels in a safe and timely manner from barn storage to water/work racks and retrieve vessels from water/work racks, and place them back into storage
Qualifications:
· Able to lift 50 pounds
· Ability to prioritize and take initiative
· Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
· Ability to work weekend
