Forklift Operator (Marina)

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our marina team. The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe launching, retrieving, transporting, and storage of customer vessels while delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires strong attention to safety, effective communication skills, and the ability to work outdoors in a fast-paced marina environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate marina forklifts and other equipment in accordance with company safety standards and operating procedures.
• Launch, retrieve, transport, move, and store customer vessels as directed.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and promptly report maintenance needs, equipment issues, or safety concerns.
• Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure efficient marina operations.
• Assist with dock maintenance, marina upkeep, and general facility cleanliness.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Provide professional, courteous, and responsive service to marina customers and guests.
• Follow all company policies, OSHA regulations, and marina safety procedures.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to changing operational needs.
• Support additional marina and operational duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Previous forklift operating experience or the ability to learn marina forklift operations.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and customer service.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, and perform physically demanding tasks as required.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Marina, boating, or marine industry experience.
• Forklift certification.
• Knowledge of boat handling and storage procedures.

Work Environment

• Primarily outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, and cold temperatures.
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, lifting, and operating heavy equipment.
• Weekend, holiday, and seasonal overtime may be required based on business needs.
