Responsibilities:
  • Construct and install marine structures including docks, decks, boathouses, seawalls and boat lifts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accuracy.
  • Utilize various carpentry tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing marine installations.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
  • Stay updated on the latest marine carpentry techniques and materials.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a carpenter, preferably with marine construction.
  • Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
  • Certification in marine construction or relevant trade is a plus.
  • Competent swimmer is a must.
