    Marine Construction Superintendent - Southeast, FL

    Continental Heavy Civil Corp is looking for a Superintendent in the Fort Lauderdale area. Applicants should be extremely detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated, and have the ability to find solutions to both routine and complex construction problems while continuing to ensure the project is moving forward. This position is local to Fort Lauderdale, FL area.

    Basic Responsibilities:

    • Oversees all aspects of the field and job-site construction to ensure the project is delivered in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
    • Responsible for assessing labor/management needs specific to the project and reporting to the Project Manager accordingly.
    • Provide technical assistance, recommending construction methods and equipment as required, suggesting alternatives to mitigate delays and interface issues during design changes and ongoing construction.
    • First Line of Communication between the Project Manager and Foremen.
    • Ensure all onsite personnel complies and follows safety procedures.
    • Responsible for completing daily reports.

    Qualifications:

    • Marine construction experience, 2-3 years relevant superintendent experience.
    • Must be able to work outdoors on various terrain in a wide range of weather conditions.
    • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws on safety and environment and their application to construction.
    • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and supervisory skills.
    • Preferable experience with pile driving, working from a barge, and other marine construction activities.
