Madden Marine is seeking Marine Decking Installers for our client supporting ship repair and marine flooring projects in Seattle, WA. This role combines demolition, surface preparation, flooring installation, and general labor responsibilities aboard active vessels and shipyard environments. The ideal candidate has experience in flooring, tile, carpentry, construction, demolition, or related trades and is comfortable working in physically demanding marine environments.

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $24.75/hour

Shift: Day Shift, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Position Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with demolition and removal of existing decking, flooring, underlayment, and related materials
• Install marine decking products including tile, carpet, carpet tile, vinyl, rubber flooring, sheet goods, epoxy systems, and underlayment
• Prepare and prime steel surfaces for flooring and coating applications
• Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment throughout vessels and job sites
• Build containments and assist with job site preparation activities
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools including grinders, needle guns, demolition hammers, sanders, and scarifiers
• Mix materials and products according to manufacturer specifications
• Assist with mobilization and demobilization of job sites
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and adhere to material disposal procedures
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and marine work regulations

Required Qualifications

• Experience in flooring, tile, carpentry, construction, demolition, shipyard, or related trades
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in marine environments
• Ability to work aboard vessels and over water
• Ability to lift, carry, kneel, bend, climb, and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
• US Citizenship required due to government contracts
• Ability to pass respirator fit testing
• Safety-toed boots (6" or higher, steel or composite toe) required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with tile installation, flooring installation, or marine decking systems
• Experience with surface preparation, demolition, or industrial coatings
• Previous shipyard, marine construction, or government project experience
• Experience working in confined spaces or industrial environments

Work Environment

This role operates aboard active vessels and within shipyard environments. Work may be performed indoors or outdoors and includes exposure to industrial equipment, varying weather conditions, confined spaces, heights, and work over water. PPE and safety compliance are required at all times.
